Photographs

These photographs were taken by W. Otto Emerson. The blue ones are known as cyanotypes because of their color. Cyanotype photography is one of the oldest photographic techniques. It was first available to the general public in 1870, after having been developed by an astronomer who used the technique to copy his notes. Cyanotypes eventually fell out of favor because of their un-life like color.

These are just some of the many images taken by W. Otto Emerson.
