We aim to provide local teachers opportunities to enhance their knowledge of local and state history as well as gain new ideas for teaching history and culture. To this end, we bring experienced educators, historians, university professors, living history demonstrators, and community groups to contribute to a rich blend of presentations, demonstrations, and performances. Sessions take place weekday afternoons, on Saturdays, and in the summer. The Fifth Annual Crossroads Summer Institute will take place the last week of June 2008. For more information, or to register for upcoming professional development opportunities, contact Jeanine Sidran at jeanine@haywardareahistory.org or (510) 581-0223.
