Educational Resources
There are many opportunities to learn about the history of the Hayward area through the programs offered by the Education Department. Make history come alive by visiting the Curiosity Clubhouse, booking a Guided Visit, renting a Discovery Kit, or participating in our annual professional development workshops. Our goal as educators is to make the past a fun part of everyday life!
We offer:
- A variety of guided visits at the Downtown Museum and McConaghy House, including walking tours of historic downtown Hayward
- Education Discovery Kits for classroom use
- Online history museum at: www.historycrossroads.org. The Crossroads project features timelines, stories, and pathways through which you can learn about the communities of Castro Valley, Hayward, and San Lorenzo.
