Stories of the Season
Christmas at McConaghy House

We have wonderful holiday events planned at McConaghy House this year. Take a look at what's coming up!

Christmas Exhibit

“It is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at Christmas...” Charles Dickens

Explore the Victorian-era home this season where each room's decorations are inspired by a different and much-loved Christmas story.

November 24 until December 23
Open Saturdays, 10am-4pm, Sundays, 1-4pm

Santa Claus is Coming!
Ho, Ho, Ho! Meet the jolly man himself! We will make snow globes and paper garlands, and listen to winter-time stories. Enjoy cookies and cider, and visit with Santa from 10am-1pm.

Drop in from 10am to 4pm.

A Christmas Carol
Don’t miss this unique theatrical experience of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale A Christmas Carol inside the McConaghy House. The audience moves from room to room following actors and musicians as they bring the story to life. This one hour show will combine the telling of Dickens' ghost story with the home’s preserved Victorian-era beauty in a celebration of the Christmas spirit. Join the performers after the show for a merry cup of hot cider.

Saturdays, December 8, December 15, and December 22. Performances at 4:30pm and 7:30pm

Regular tickets are $25, and $15 for HAHS members. Seating is limited. Call 510-581-0223 for tickets.

McConaghy House is located at 18701 Hesperian Blvd., Hayward.
