Meek Estate Updates

The Art of Remembrance: Days of the Dead, 2009

The Art of Remembrance traces the evolution of this sacred Mexican tradition from pre-Columbian origins to our modern age. The exhibit features the work of Bay Area artists creating contemporary altars and memorials to the dead.

December 2006: The upgrading of the heating, electrical and plumbing systems is finally completed. In February 2006 the Hayward Area Parks and Recreation District (HARD) turned the keys to the Meek Estate over to the Hayward Area Historical Society (HAHS).
